Standlake 17th April – 2litre Bangers Teams of 4
No reporter on site today so it's just the results to view.
73 Cars spread between 21 teams. Nice to see a team of Z cars back on track with 330 Tony Rudge rolling on the first bend of his first race. Also visitors from SAA (always welcome lads) and two Teams of Team Black. Plenty of Bluebirds, Volvo's & Granada's. Daring to be different - 68 Dicko with an Ultra smart Cortina, 691 Mr Shifter with his Gallant and car of the day to 313 Mayhem with his 6th Standlake A60 of the season.

A superb result for the Gumm Boys who really were in a class of their own throughout the day winning all 3 of their heats and the Final. The Dream Team snatched second place from Team Black 'A' thanks to Rusty's 5th place in the Final. Two Team Blacks looked ominous at the start of the day but fair play to the locals for getting stuck in and reducing Team Black 'A' to just 1 point in their first heat. 200 Noon was a casualty of that race as returnee 274 Jonathon Adams followed him in hard. Some great wrecking & racing in front of a large Bank Holiday crowd. Two young guns caught my eye - 781 Shaggy Shaun when he was throwing his twisted Bluey round the track with 3 Team Black on his tail, after 2 or 3 nerve tingling laps he buried 537 Mitch to get out of the way. The other young gun was 791 lil Tricky with his super display in a simply breathtaking Demolition Derby, team Black were out in force and the hits were going in mega hard with 999 Cotty giving 852 Jay a massive shot. Undaunted Tricky weighed into the Black cars whenever he had the chance until his car eventually expired. Fair play to the two Team Blacks left at the end as 920 James Medley and 617 Jack Overy continued to pound each other with big hits until Jack ran out winner. One of the best DD's you'll ever see and a reminder to those that left early - you don't know what you missed.
